Seriously, isn’t this cover just gorgeous?! I want to frame it and put it up in my room; it’s that pretty. It did turn out to be a great book, and one of my favorite series! I definitely recommend it if you haven’t already read it.

Phase 2 – First Impressions: A book that you got because of the summary?

A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall

The creative writing teacher, the delivery guy, the local Starbucks baristas, his best friend, her roommate, and the squirrel in the park all have one thing in common—they believe that Gabe and Lea should get together. Lea and Gabe are in the same creative writing class. They get the same pop culture references, order the same Chinese food, and hang out in the same places. Unfortunately, Lea is reserved, Gabe has issues, and despite their initial mutual crush, it looks like they are never going to work things out.

But somehow even when nothing is going on, something is happening between them, and everyone can see it. Their creative writing teacher pushes them together. The baristas at Starbucks watch their relationship like a TV show. Their bus driver tells his wife about them. The waitress at the diner automatically seats them together. Basically every book I’ve ever bought fits into this category, but I’m just going to go with A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall. I actually don’t like the cover of this one like most people, so the synopsis was what really got me interested.

I loved this book! Lauren Oliver’s writing is always beautiful, but I think it really came through the most on this one.

Um, HELL YEAH. I finished this books a few days ago, and I’m seriously desperate for the rest of the series. I know what you’re thinking: But Paige, you’re so bad at finishing series! You say this all the time and it never happens! IT WILL HAPPEN, GUYS. IT WILL.

Phase 5 – Late Night Phone Calls: A book that kept you up all night?

More Than This by Patrick Ness

Oh, man. Patrick Ness seriously knows how to write suspense. (Actually, I’m not entirely sure this novel was supposed to be suspense, but it was for me.) I rarely do this, but I stayed up way later than I normally do when I read this book. It was totally worth it.

Phase 6 – Always on my mind: A book you could not stop thinking about?

All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

All The Bright Places is probably in my top 3 favorite books of all time. I read it when it first came out early this year, sometime in January or Febuary, and I still can’t stop thinking about it.

I don’t know if this question is meant physically or emotionally, but I’m just going to go with physically. And no, I haven’t actually read this book yet, but we’re just going to go with it. I purchased this book at a used bookstore a few weeks ago, and it’s clothbound and a gorgeous addition to my shelves.

Another favorite. I’ve recommended this one to pretty much everyone I know, but barely any of them have actually read it. This doesn’t mean that I’ll ever stop pushing it in their faces and urging them to read it, though!

I’ve already read this book, what – 3 or 4 times? I imagine I’ll be rereading it many times in the future. This story is so adorable and sweet, and I can always count on it to get me in a good mood.
